HEARD IN HOBOKEN
Stan, a general contractor (and big Friend of Faith) dubiously examines a banged-up car parked on our street.
"Is this legal?" he calls to the owner of the car, a tired laborer leaning against a half-gutted building.
Laborer: "Somewhat."

OKAY, SO HE WON
But consider this: the Democratic supporters came together, as never before, thanks in large part to that crazy little invention, the Internet. (Which is still pretty fantastically unregulated).
Consider this: the mandate is small-ish, when you consider how many people still didn't vote.
Consider, also this: it is not a small deal that people's rights were being undone in 11 states. But I ask my mourning Democrat friends to think of this less as a one time campaign, and invoke, instead, the spiritual fortitude of the civil rights movement.
