TRIATHLON POST: WATER BABIES
I'm doing the swimming part of my training in the pool at Stevens Institute of Technology. Today I did 750 meters, which is 30 lengths of the pool.
The pool is lovely. One wall is glass block, which lets the sun seep in.
The locker room is small: two showers! And today, crowded with strollers (moms--moms only--and their babies bobbing in the pool, and then in the hot tub). Beside me, an older woman with gorgeous red toe nails, tropical white and red flip flops, and grumbling about the strollers...
Still, the light, the water...exquisite.
It'll be a little different when I swim the Hudson.
Swim the Hudson: it sounds great.
